Halloween is a huge deal for kids! While some couples choose to include this holiday in their Settlement Agreement, others do not. Things have changed at home, but planning ahead as co-parents to find the right solution can make the holiday more enjoyable for all. Consider the following:
- Trading every other Halloween so that each parent can go trick-or-treating with their kids
- Going together (this only works if the couple remains civil)
- Divide the events – one parent can take the kids to the school costume parade while the other takes them trick-or-treating
- Making treats or carving pumpkins ahead of the holiday if you are unable to spend the holiday with your child
- Create new traditions
However you choose to deal with the holiday – make it memorable for your children.
